System failures

In the Veteran options (they become accessible after your first safe landing) you can activate different system failures:

Guidance and HUD

These switches will simply turn off the guidance (the diamond symbol in the HUD) or the entire head-up-display respectively.

Stuck closed speedbrake

• Deploy gear at Mach 0.95.
• In the HAC, fly the needles.
• Aim for the close in aimpoint, use pitch to keep airspeed below 321 KEAS.

Stuck open speedbrake

• In the HAC, fly about 5,000 ft high.
• Aim 3000 feet before the runway threshold (approx. halfway between the threshold and the close in aimpoint). Glideslope angle should about 25° - keep airspeed below 321 KEAS.
• Nominal gear deploy (i.e. at 300 ft).
